Southwest Med Evac's Communications Center is located within the corporate offices at Las Cruces, New Mexico.  The "Comm" center is designed for two full-time Communications Specialists that are capable of receiving flight requests, activating response teams, coordinating ground and support agencies, as well as, complete tracking of aircraft movements.  Our staff members are required to become NAACS certified, with an ultimate goal of EMD certification.  We utilize the Golden Hour system for our dispatch and patient tracking software.  All rotor-wing aircraft are equipped with OuterLink satellite tracking systems.  Our Communications Specialists are required to track aircraft movement via OuterLink in addition to radio contacts for every flight.
