Southwest Med Evac Bases


Southwest Med Evac currently has aircraft based in Las Cruces, Alamogordo and Carlsbad, Hobbs and Silver City, New Mexico, as well as Midland and Abilene, Texas. Base operations are at each site listed below, including the corporate base in Las Cruces. Communications and the maintenance facilities are based in Las Cruces, NM. Each base is unique and optimized to facilitate rapid response to flight requests in that area. All bases participate in weekly conference calls, as well as monthly education and QI meetings. Personnel are hired for a primary base and seldom travel to multiple bases unless specifically requested to do so at time of hiring. We realize personnel will have a better quality of life and as such a happier work life if they are able to remain at a single base with the same flight staff for the duration of their career. Southwest Med Evac continually strives to improve service in their current market areas in addition to securing new markets for service. New bases are in the planning and will be announced when appropriate.
